Terms of Use

1. What KickStat is

KickStat is a soccer analytics tool. It lets you ask questions of a curated football dataset and returns charts, tables, and summary statistics derived from that data. KickStat provides analytical output — it is not a data feed or a data-redistribution service.

2. Acceptable use

You may use KickStat to explore the data, build analyses, and publish those analyses through the product. You may share charts and findings you create. You agree to use the service in good faith as an analytics tool.

3. Data restrictions — no bulk extraction or redistribution

The underlying datasets are licensed and/or derived from third-party sources and are made available to you only for interactive analysis. You may not, whether manually or by any automated means:

• systematically download, scrape, harvest, or otherwise extract the underlying row-level or event-level data in bulk;
• reconstruct, recreate, or attempt to recreate the underlying data feed or any substantial portion of a dataset from query results;
• redistribute, resell, sublicense, or publish the underlying datasets (as opposed to your own derived analyses and charts);
• circumvent, disable, or interfere with any rate limit, usage budget, or other technical control intended to enforce these restrictions.

The distinction is between insight and the feed: building and sharing analyses is encouraged; extracting the data itself is not permitted.

4. Usage limits

To protect the service and enforce the restrictions above, KickStat applies query rate limits and a daily limit on the total volume of data a single account can output. These limits are set well above what normal interactive analysis requires; you will only encounter them if you are pulling data at a scale consistent with bulk extraction. Limits may be adjusted over time.

5. Accounts and enforcement

We log query activity on a per-account basis to operate the service and detect misuse. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, including accounts engaged in bulk extraction or attempts to circumvent usage controls.

6. No warranty

KickStat is provided “as is.” The data is drawn from third-party sources and may contain errors, gaps, or modelling differences. Nothing here is betting, investment, or professional advice. Verify anything important against an authoritative source before relying on it.
