Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information KickStat (“we,” “us”) collects when you use kickstat.ai, how we use it, and the choices you have. KickStat is a soccer-analytics tool: you ask questions of a curated football dataset and get back charts, tables, and summary statistics. We try to collect only what we need to run the product.

1. Information we collect

• Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address, and — if you sign in with Google — your name and profile email as provided by Google. We do not receive your Google password.
• Content you create. The questions you ask, the SQL that is generated, and the analyses, charts, and titles you save or publish.
• Usage and device data. Basic analytics about how the product is used — pages viewed, features used, and events such as running a query, saving an analysis, or starting checkout — along with standard technical data like browser type and approximate region. We do not log the full text of your prompts in our product analytics.
• Payment information. If you subscribe, payment is processed by Stripe. We receive your subscription status and billing metadata; we do not store your full card number — Stripe handles card data directly.

2. How we use your information

• Provide, maintain, and secure the service and your account.
• Save and display the analyses and charts you create.
• Process subscriptions and manage billing.
• Understand how the product is used so we can fix problems and improve it.
• Communicate with you about your account, security, or important changes to the service.

3. Service providers we use

We rely on a small set of trusted third parties to operate KickStat. They process data only on our behalf and for the purposes described here:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting (stores your account and saved analyses).
• Google— optional “Sign in with Google” authentication.
• Stripe — subscription payments and billing.
• PostHog — product analytics (usage events).
• Vercel — application hosting and aggregate web analytics.

4. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to measure product usage. Analytics help us see which features are used and where people get stuck. We do not sell this data or use it for third-party advertising.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers listed above, when required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of KickStat and its users. Analyses you choose to publish to the public gallery are visible to anyone; analyses you keep private are not.

6. Data retention

We keep your account information and saved analyses for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain records (for example, billing records) by law.

7. Your rights and choices

You can access and update your account information, and you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at contact@kickstat.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; we honor those rights where they apply.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted transport and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

KickStat is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you.
